We collaborate for Cyber!

The connected world around us is developing at a rapid pace, and cyber attacks are an inevitable part of it. The development of technology not only creates new positive opportunities and developments for us but also creates new opportunities for those who want to take advantage of the development of technology in cyber attacks. Therefore, constant vigilance and cooperation with others is very important.

Recognizing the critical role of cybersecurity forums, the SOCCER team actively participates in pivotal conferences that serve as breeding grounds for innovation, strategic partnerships, and knowledge dissemination. These gatherings bring together professionals, academics, and industry leaders from the private and public sectors to create a united front against cyber threats.

The SOCCER team participated in two cyber conferences: CyberWiseCon Europe 2024 and 16th International Conference on Cyber Conflict: Over the Horizon (CyCon), which perfectly complemented each other - if one dealt with the private sector, the other dealt with a high-level national and international view of opportunities, threats, developments in the cyber landscape.

16th International Conference on Cyber Conflict: Over the Horizon (CyCon)

The main areas were:

  • Sector Collaboration: An examination of the symbiotic relationships between public and private sectors in fortifying cyber defences.
  • Advanced Technologies: Discussions on the implications of AI and autonomous weaponry in the landscape of cyber conflict.
  • Space Security: Strategies to maintain peace and security in the increasingly contested outer space environment.
  • Innovative Solutions: Sharing cutting-edge solutions and tools that are shaping the future of cybersecurity.
  • Post-Quantum Readiness: Preparing for the quantum computing era and the associated cybersecurity challenges.

The SOCCER team’s participation in these conferences not only enhances our understanding and preparedness but also reinforces the University of Tartu’s HPC Center’s commitment to leading the charge in cybersecurity education and research. As we continue to navigate the complexities of the cyber world, our collective efforts at these forums are crucial in shaping a secure digital future.

CyberWiseCon Europe 2024

The main areas were:
