We play for Cyber!

The SOCCER Project, which aims to increase the academic sector’s resilience to cyber threats and act as the strategic goalkeeper for intellectual capital, research integrity, and student privacy, has made substantial progress since its kick-off meeting.

The initial kick-off meeting took place on October 30th, the SOCCER consortium members convened in a virtual environment. The purpose of the meeting was to guarantee that all partners within the consortium share a common understanding of the project’s goals and are aware of their individual roles and duties.

The project, which started with a promising kick-off meeting, has seen a series of technical meetings, project management discussions, and general assembly gatherings that have laid the groundwork for its success.

Following the kick-off meeting, Project SOCCER swiftly transitioned into a series of technical stream meetings. These sessions provided a platform for discussions on the project’s toolbox, ensuring that the team is equipped with the necessary tools and resources to drive innovation. A key highlight of the project’s progress is the successful definition of its structure and workflow.

The project management meetings proved to be instrumental in setting the project’s organizational structure, ensuring a streamlined workflow, and establishing rules for effective collaboration. This achievement marks a crucial step towards enhancing efficiency and fostering a collaborative environment among team members.

The general assembly meetings served as a forum for comprehensive discussions, allowing the representatives of Parties to make critical decisions that will shape the course of Project SOCCER. During these sessions, the project’s stakeholders reached a consensus on the project structure, agreed upon the workflow, and scheduled reports. These decisions reflect the collective vision and commitment of the team towards achieving the project’s overarching goals.

As Project SOCCER moves forward, the outcomes of these meetings form a solid foundation upon which the teams will build their future successes. The teams are ready to face the challenges ahead, armed with a shared vision and a roadmap for success.

Stay tuned for more updates as Project SOCCER continues its journey to achieve excellence in the Cybersecurity world!
